India Arie had been in the business for many years and she has come to accept that not everybody would love her. In fact, there are many cynics who just don’t seem to like her.
India Arie had reaffirmed to all black women and women in general that it’s OK to not look so perfect, to not shave your legs or constantly be on the quest to look like those on the tabloids and because of this, she had a groundbreaking rise of female fans because of her beauty revolution.
As years passed, she had changed and she is to release her second album for Love & Politics and her songs reveal just how happy and satisfied she is in her disposition. Her songs had a transition but some speculates that the songs are just too preachy but she just doesn’t care.
India Arie has several popular black fans such as Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey and now Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama loves Arie’s music as it brings her comfort and it makes her smile. India Arie’s songs are positive songs that just uplift your soul.
India Arie had also branched out, starting to do some acting on film and on broadway. She’d be on the broadway revival that will be open in 2010.
India Arie has gone far but her name is still not well established outside of the U.S. but she remains optimistic about this. She wants more people to know who she is and what her songs are all about.
