For the first time since 1984, the Jackson 5 will be on tour again in 2009. What started as a “hush rumor” that a reunion tour of all members of the Jackson 5 would be possible next year has been apparently confirmed by Jermaine Jackson. This was confirmed during his latest interview with the Australian Associated Press. The group is said to be busy in preparations for the tour. All members, including Michael Jackson will be part of the tour next year.

Jackson 5 started as “Jackson Brothers” and has been in the music scene for more than 30 years since 1966. The group proved to be the “training” ground for Michael as he became the “King of Pop” because of his 80s hits such as “Thriller” which has torched most record books in the music industry.

Even though Michael experience personal fall-out because of recent lawsuits, Michael Jackson remained popular through strong fan base while others led a more quite music career and even falling into financial troubles. The group was last seen together onstage during Michael Jackson’s 30^th anniversary celebration as an artists in 2001.

The tour will not only feature Jackson 5 as it will also feature their sister, Janet Jackson. Currently, Janet is on her personal tour called “Rock Witchu”. According to the recent interview related to the concert, Jermaine Jackson said that the tour next year will not only be a reunion but a “family affair”. No specific schedule and places released yet but they are currently, “working on the music and all the logistics” according to Jermaine.
