The couple who secretly videotaped Amy Winehouse was proven guilty of peddling drugs. Johnny Blagrove and Cara Burton will serve two years in prison and two years in community service, respectively. The couple is known to have sold the videotape they made to Sun Newspaper for at least US$75,000.

In the video footage, Winehouse could be seen smoking and snorting something from a card. It was rumoured that it was actually crack cocaine that she smoked and another form of substance in the card. Winehouse was not charge because of this footage since there is no hard evidence that it was actually illegal substances that she took.

Amy Winehouse is supposedly only one of the many targets of Blagrove and Burton. A raid was conducted in their home and they found a list of celebrity targets. Among the list was Winehouse.

Apparently, there was no clear evidence that the drug transaction with Winehouse actually happened. If this was actually proven, the couple could be in for a more serious sentence considering the fragile status of the singer.

What is left then is the fact that they did sold drugs and other illegal substances. But to whom it’s not really yet established or no real evidence could be found. The fact that they made a good amount of money because of the footage was not even used against them.

The controversial singer is currently battling different health and legal problems and this one might have gone against her. It’s basically a small relief for the singer in the pool of problems she is facing right now.
