Update on Chris Brown and Rihanna

Category: Artists — cinnamon fridays @ 10:28 pm

After the news about Chris Brown beating Rihanna spreads like wild fire, and many Rihanna fans are in outrage with what Chris Brown did to the beautiful and generous singer, Chris Brown had finally made a statement. It’s not exactly the kind of statement that would make Rihanna forgive her “former” lover. He didn’t sound like he was remorseful with what he did to her. Yes, he apologized and sad about what had transpired and is seeking for some counseling, but he did not admit anything.

Rihanna is now at home in Barbados while recovering from her injuries that severely bruised her face. She cancelled her sold out concert and cancelled appearances and even her birthday celebration after what had transpired. Chris Brown, on the other hand, had issued a public apology but it didn’t stop his angry fans from dissing him.

FM stations are not even playing his songs now after receiving angry phone calls.

Is Chris Brown now history? For sure Rihanna got the compassion of fans and the not-into-Rihanna people after what she had to go through. She’d still have a career but Chris Brown’s on a hot seat right now.

Just in case you have not read Brown’s statement, here it is. “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds.”
