It’s official. Spandau Ballet will be having another tour after they split 20 years ago. This British band had just announced that they will be having a British tour this coming October then they’ll also be having their world tour.
10 years ago, Spandau Ballet had a different kind of reunion. They met each other again in court while settling for the royalties’ issue. Today, Tony Hadley, Martin Kemp, Gary Kemp, John Keeble and Steve Norman are in good terms and are happy to be back playing music once again.
They made their announcement while on board the same ship, the HMS Belfast, they were on board in 1980 for their Spandau gig.

In February, Rihanna will be strutting down her stuff and dance her way to the hearts of the people in Malaysia. Rihanna will be in Malaysia for a concert for her “Good Girl Gone Bad” tour.
Malaysia is a Muslim country and when you step foot in a Muslim country, you must follow their rules or else you’d be fined or punished for it. Unfortunately, Muslims don’t like women showing excess skin with their sexy clothes and this rule does not exclude the famous international stars and Rihanna will have to be a good girl too if she doesn’t want to get a fine for excess skin exposure in a Muslim country.
Rihanna promised to be a good girl too even for just one night. Other stars became good girls too when they had a concert in Malaysia. For example, Gwen Stefani had to make a sacrifice of wearing clothes that does not reveal much.

Michael Jackson had organized an auction scheduled for April 21 to 25, 2009 with over 2000 items including his Neverland gate as well as a white glove from his 1983 video of “Billie Jean”. This is the first time that Michael Jackson ever held an auction. Is it because Michael Jackson is broke? Well, whether or not the rumour is true, after this auction Michael Jackson will definitely have millions of dollars again.
Michael Jackson’s Neverland was almost foreclosed last May but he was able to sell his 2,700 acre ranch with a zoo, an amusement park and a wonderful lake to a company where he had a property loan worth $24 million! Gone are the glory days of the Neverland ranch where he was said to be molesting little boys during their “wholesome” sleepovers.

Beyonce Knowles was given the honour to be the singer chosen to sing the song for the President and the first lady on their first dance for the first of the 10 inaugural balls that was held after Obama’s inaugural speech.
Obama captured the heart of the Americans as well as with the people around the world. He made history being the first black American to become president of the most influential country in the world. Being a part of his inauguration is such a privilege and Beyonce is so happy, being a black American woman herself, to be part of this momentous and historical occasion.
She stated how honored she felt to be chosen to perform for President Obama and his first lady. She chose to sing “At Last” for the first couple. The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced last Tuesday that Beyonce will be singing for the couple but the title of the song was kept confidential to keep everyone guessing but, Beyonce couldn’t keep her excitement to herself and revealed her song last Friday.

American Idol is on your TV screen once again this January and it has a few changes in store for all its viewers. First of all, there’s an addition of another judge so the 3 judges will now be 4. The new judge is Kara DioGuardi who is a singer as well as a producer. No, Kara will not be taking over Paula although there are some gossips about that after Paula blamed American Idol for not protecting her against her stalker Paula Goodspeed and they let her audition for the show back in 2005. Paula Goodspeed killed herself recently in front of Paula Abdul’s home and this shook up the Idol judge.

Madonna won a case against a UK tabloid that published some of her wedding photos with the film director Guy Ritchie 8 years ago. Madonna filed a case against the said UK tabloid because they breached her privacy as well as copyright by publishing those photos without getting consent from her. The court sided with Madonna and it’s ironic that she won the case about her wedding photos that leaked just a few weeks after her divorce was granted.
When Madonna and Guy Ritchie got married in 2000, it was a beautiful ceremony but no photo from the wedding was ever published and after 8 years, last October 19, the UK tabloid Mail published 11 photos that Madonna said were stolen from her by her interior designer from California.

Since Britney’s sudden personality problems, the world stay tuned as to what would come next in this pop star’s life. There are even several websites making a count down to Britney’s death which is just horrible but it also just shows that people don’t see any hope in Britney Spears after she shaved her head, showed her private parts and partied all night long with her friends. But instead of hitting rock bottom, Britney Spears had done it again and started anew. She’s now making new music and her songs are as popular as ever! Everybody’s singing and dancing to the tune of Womanizer and Circus and they just can’t get enough of Britney!
Britney Spears is back at number 1 on Billboard’s hit chart with her album Circus that sold over 500,000 copies in its first week!

Singer Akon pleaded guilty for tossing one of his fans into the air and on to other concertgoers during his concert in June of 2007 which was held at the Dutchess Stadium in New York. There was enough evidence to charge Akon but he decided to plea for the case and agreed to take the necessary punishment for it. Akon will get a 65 hour community service and $250 fine as punishment and there’s no need for jail term as long as he finishes his 65 hour community service.
During the event, there was a spectator who threw an object at Akon. Akon got angry and asked who threw the object at him. At that point, the security guard brought the young 15 year-old kid named Anthony Smith to the stage and Akon threw him to the crowd. It was caught on videotape and there was even a concert goer who also got hurt when Akon threw the boy towards her.
This case sounds oh so familiar for Akon who was judged for his actions during a concert where he acted as if he was having sex with one of his fans onstage. It turns out that fan was a minor and a daughter of a pastor. He wrote a song about that incident entitled “Sorry, blame it on me”. Will another song come out of this new case against Akon? Hopefully he learned his lesson. Fans go to his concert to be entertained so he has to keep his composure if he wants his fans to stay!

We were all stunned when the news broke out that Jennifer Hudson’s mom, brother and nephew were murdered by her former brother-in-law who said he got jealous because Jennifer Hudson’s sister, his ex-wife, had a new boyfriend. With all the fame that Jennifer Hudson claimed after American Idol, this tragedy has definitely overshadowed everything for her. Now, after just about a couple of months after the tragedy, Jennifer Hudson got 4 Grammy nominations and she considers this as a great blessing for her.
Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled album is nominated for the Album of the Year award, the song “Spotlight” is nominated for the Best R&B song award as well as Best female R&B vocal performance. Also, her song which is a duet with Fantasia entitled “I’m His Only Woman” also got a nomination for Best R&B Performance by a duo or a group.
