Like several other celebrities, Ashanti has experienced the bad side of being a famous by becoming victim of harassment. It seems the singer was subject to inopportune attentions by a 31 year old man, Devar Hurd, who has recently been found guilty for stalking the singer.

The harassment took place between last May and July, when Hurd sent to Ashanti’s sister, Shia Douglas, and mother Tina, numerous sexually-explicit texts and vulgar pictures. He has also been spotted in many of Ashanti’s performance venues.

Hurd introduces himself as a singer and record music company CEO. In front of the Manhattan Supreme Court, he explained that his sex-ting and pictures of his intimate parts were welcomed by the women as he was never told to stop.

RnB singer Mya is one of the contestants of this season’s American edition Dancing with the Stars. The artist has recently managed to get to the third finals on the popular show and has also been voted by US Weekly as one of the “Hot Steppers of the Year”.

Mya’s skills as a dancer surely do not come as a surprise. Many of her videos show she is one of the best dancers around in the RnB scene and she also has a respectful dancing background from a very young age, especially in tap dancing where she has trained with renowned tap dancer Savion Glover of the Dance Theater of Harlem.

What an unexpected couple! After Beyoncé featuring in Lady Gaga’s single Telephone, the two ladies duplicated the experience with the latest video release of Video Phone. The video has the unmistakable touch of famous hip hop and R&B video director Hype Williams and has become a big hit on the web, probably more because of the sexy outfits and choreos of the ladies rather than the song, which in itself seems to have received quite a lukewarm attention.

R Kelly is planning to write his memoirs to be published in 2011. The 42 year old RnB artist declared his aim behind the project is that of clearing all the misunderstandings that have been going on about him and which have caused many of the controversies around his public image.
Thoughts are obviously going to the charges of child pornography R Kelly has been accused of in the past. The idea of writing his autobiography, indeed, has been set a year after the artist was definitely cleared of charges.

After the multi-platinum winner “As I Am”, released in 2007, Alicia Keys is back with a brand new album “The Element of Freedom”. The work will be released on the 11th December in two different versions, a standard one and the deluxe edition containing CD with DVD.

The latest work from the talented New York artist sees some big names of the industry involved. The album is produced by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, Jeff Bhasker and Swizz Beatz among others and contains two very interesting features by Beyoncè and rapper Drake.

Last Thursday the New York’s Plaza Hotel hosted one of the most exclusive events in town: famous hip hop star and producer P Diddy – aka Sean Combs – threw the most spectacular birthday bash for his 40th birthday.

We all know that Diddy is not new to this kind of events and that he is in fact THE party specialist. Anybody will have already heard about his “White Party Affair” which he hosts every year and where guests not wearing 100% white attire can get a non-entry.

So, after the “White Party”, the “Black and White – Truman Capote Party”, the “Harlem to Hollywood Party” and the “Masquerade Ball – Cirque du Soleil Party”, Puffy came up with something really original this year (in the true meaning of the word). The theme for his birthday party was the Garden of Eden. No, this did not mean David Beckham, Bono and Jay-Z (to name some of his guests) had to walk through the red carpet only wearing a fig leaf on their private parts.

In P Diddy’s world it turned out to be spending more than 3 million dollars to transform the Plaza’s Grand Ballroom in an Eden by installing a black dance floor with an enormous black chandelier hanging on top of it, orchid layout decorations worth $30,000, silver confetti raining from above and, of course, a huge chocolate birthday cake with Sean John Comb’s initials.
