American Idol is on your TV screen once again this January and it has a few changes in store for all its viewers. First of all, there’s an addition of another judge so the 3 judges will now be 4. The new judge is Kara DioGuardi who is a singer as well as a producer. No, Kara will not be taking over Paula although there are some gossips about that after Paula blamed American Idol for not protecting her against her stalker Paula Goodspeed and they let her audition for the show back in 2005. Paula Goodspeed killed herself recently in front of Paula Abdul’s home and this shook up the Idol judge.

With all the drama that Paula Abdul adds to the American Idol show, there’s no way they’d be taking her out of it. Without Paula, American Idol would seem like it lost a leg and couldn’t stand the same way anymore. So, for Paula, just hang in there!
Another change for American Idol is with regards to the time they’ll provide for the contestants who made it to Hollywood. They’d be given an extra week to showcase their talents before they cut down the list to 36. This way, the judges can really see the talents behind these wannabe stars and could judge them better.

Now, the question is this: Will American Idol gain more viewers after Paula Goodspeed’s death or will the show lose even more viewers?
