RnB star R Kelly was found not guilty by a jury last Friday. Even though the jury was convinced that he was the one in sex tapes shown in court, they could not be sure that the girl in the tape was his god daughter, aged 13 at the time the tape was made.

R Kelly’s spokesperson made statements after the trial, saying that the singer was confident he would be found not guilty, but not that it would take more than 6 years to clear his name. His god daughter had also denied any implication in the sex tape and her non participation is one of the reasons for the weakened case and non guilty verdict.

R Kelly is relieved the ordeal is over and thanked God for the end to 6 and a half years of struggle and now just wants to put the whole thing behind him to get on with his life and his music.
